Father,
What about the children?
Tis' that special time of year
that we celebrate the birth of the Messiah . . . . .. The time
of year that brings wonder and sparkle to the eyes of a child.
One small twinkling light can bring smiles that would light the
world, a room of blinking lights bring ohhhs and ahhhhs . . .look
mommy . . . look daddy. . Oh look. . . . . Oh, the eyes of a
child. Their innocents . . .the joy they bring. Reminding us
of simpler times.
Father,
What about the children?
Snow gently falls to the ground.
The excitement it brings. Snow . . . look mommy . . . look daddy
snow . . . it is snow . . . SEE THE SNOW . . . . . let's make
a snowman . . . snow angels, . . . snowballs . . . Simple pure
and white snow. The excitement snow can bring to a little child.
Father, What about the children?
Fairy tales, stories of that
ol' bear from the hundred acre woods. . Yes PooH . . . Stories
of the Father's love, stories that glue a little child to the
lap of that mommy or daddy. . . Stories that light up their eyes
. . . stories that make them cuddle close and near . . . read
to me again . . . just one more stories please . . . mommy .
. . oh daddy, you can read another.
Father, What about the children?
The children Father . . . the
little ones . . .. Father . . . they have lost their innocents
. . . their eyes they no longer sparkle. . . . Father, What about
the children? Father, they suffer so, . . . . Yes the little
ones, the ones you love so much. They no longer have time to
be innocent, to have that twinkle in their eyes. . . . . There
are no stories.. . . . . No snowmen . . .. No love . . .
Father,
What about the children?
Their lives are filled with
pain and hunger, abuse and neglect. The children, their eyes
filled with horror, sadness and pain. . . . The suffering is
do deep, their pain so intense fighting for breath, . . . fighting
for love . . . . . . .fighting to be children.
Father, What about the children?
These little ones that have
been forgotten, left and abandoned. Who will feed them, . . .
. protect them, . . . hold them, . . . love them, . . save them?
Who will ease their suffering, . . . . kiss away their pain,
. . . . love them, . . . help them be children? Who will care
for them, . . . hold them in their suffering? Who will remember
the children, before it's to late,. . . . Before they are gone?
