Father, What about the children?

Tis' that special time of year that we celebrate the birth of the Messiah . . . . .. The time of year that brings wonder and sparkle to the eyes of a child. One small twinkling light can bring smiles that would light the world, a room of blinking lights bring ohhhs and ahhhhs . . .look mommy . . . look daddy. . Oh look. . . . . Oh, the eyes of a child. Their innocents . . .the joy they bring. Reminding us of simpler times.

Father, What about the children?

Snow gently falls to the ground. The excitement it brings. Snow . . . look mommy . . . look daddy snow . . . it is snow . . . SEE THE SNOW . . . . . let's make a snowman . . . snow angels, . . . snowballs . . . Simple pure and white snow. The excitement snow can bring to a little child.

Father, What about the children?

Fairy tales, stories of that ol' bear from the hundred acre woods. . Yes PooH . . . Stories of the Father's love, stories that glue a little child to the lap of that mommy or daddy. . . Stories that light up their eyes . . . stories that make them cuddle close and near . . . read to me again . . . just one more stories please . . . mommy . . . oh daddy, you can read another.

Father, What about the children?

The children Father . . . the little ones . . .. Father . . . they have lost their innocents . . . their eyes they no longer sparkle. . . . Father, What about the children? Father, they suffer so, . . . . Yes the little ones, the ones you love so much. They no longer have time to be innocent, to have that twinkle in their eyes. . . . . There are no stories.. . . . . No snowmen . . .. No love . . .

Father, What about the children?

Their lives are filled with pain and hunger, abuse and neglect. The children, their eyes filled with horror, sadness and pain. . . . The suffering is do deep, their pain so intense fighting for breath, . . . fighting for love . . . . . . .fighting to be children.

Father, What about the children?

These little ones that have been forgotten, left and abandoned. Who will feed them, . . . . protect them, . . . hold them, . . . love them, . . save them? Who will ease their suffering, . . . . kiss away their pain, . . . . love them, . . . help them be children? Who will care for them, . . . hold them in their suffering? Who will remember the children, before it's to late,. . . . Before they are gone?
